An AI chatbot for small business owners who answer every message themselves
In a small business the person who answers customer messages is usually the person doing the work. A plumber under a sink, a salon owner with a client in the chair, a shop owner at the till. Meanwhile the messages repeat: are you open Saturday, do you cover my area, how much is a standard job, do I need an appointment. The answers are already on your website or in your head. A chatbot for small business answers them from your own pages so you do not stop work for each one.
The agent answers only from what you load: your services and prices, hours, policies, and FAQ. It does not take bookings, payments, or deposits, and it does not make up a quote. When a customer wants a quote, an appointment, or has a problem with a job, it collects their details and pings you with a summary, so you call back once with everything you need.
What small business support teams run into
- Customer messages pile up while you are on a job, and the slow reply loses the work to a competitor.
- The same few questions about hours, area, and price eat into every working day.
- Enquiries arrive with no address, no photos, and no contact number, so every quote starts with a round of questions.
- Hiring someone to answer messages is not worth it at your size, and per-seat help desks are built for bigger teams.
Questions the agent answers on its own
From your approved content, in the customer's language, at any hour.
- "Are you open on Saturday?"
- "Do you serve my area?"
- "How much does a standard deep clean cost?"
- "Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?"
- "What is your cancellation policy?"
- "Do you sell gift cards?"
- "Is there parking near the shop?"
- "Are your staff insured?"
When it hands off to your team
With its own reason, an urgency, and a summary. Your team is notified by email, Telegram, or SMS.
- A customer wants a quote for a job that needs a site visit or photos: the agent collects the address, the job, and a phone number, then hands off.
- A customer asks for an appointment: the agent collects the service and preferred times so you confirm in one message.
- A complaint about finished work or a product: escalate as urgent so you call back the same day.
- A request for something you do not list, such as a commercial contract: hand off instead of guessing.
What to load into the knowledge base
- Services and price list page
- Opening hours, holiday closures, and location page
- Service area list
- Cancellation, deposit, and refund policy
- Your FAQ page, or a short article of the questions you answer by phone every week
- A brochure or price sheet uploaded as a PDF
Channels
The website widget on every page of your site, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify. Telegram if your customers already message you there. WhatsApp is coming soon and is not available yet. The agent does not answer phone calls. SMS is only used to alert you about a handoff.
Setup, in practice
Point the agent at your website so it syncs your services, prices, and hours. Add a short article with the answers you give by phone every week. Require a name and phone number before the chat starts. Write escalation rules for quotes, appointments, and complaints. Paste the widget snippet using the install guide for your site builder, then turn on SMS notifications so you see a handoff between jobs.
FAQ
Can customers book an appointment through the chatbot?
No. It does not connect to your booking system. It collects the service the customer wants, their preferred times, and their contact details, then hands off. You get a notification and confirm the slot yourself.
Can it take a payment or a deposit?
No. It does not handle payments. It can explain your deposit and payment policy from your pages and point to the payment link you publish there.
Will it quote a price for a job?
Only prices you have published, such as a standard service on your price list. For anything that depends on the job, it collects the details and hands off so you quote it. It does not invent numbers.
Does it work on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or by text?
Not today. It runs in the website widget, Telegram, and Discord. WhatsApp is coming soon. There is no Messenger channel. SMS is used only to notify you about a handoff, not to chat with customers.
I am not technical. Can I set it up myself?
Yes. You paste your website address to load your pages, then paste one snippet into your site. There are step-by-step guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, and more. Starter is $29 per month with a 7-day free trial.
