AI support for Discord servers where the same questions get asked every day
Discord is where a lot of products live now: games, developer tools, crypto and web3 projects, creator communities, and SaaS with a community tier. Support in Discord means mods answering the same setup questions in #help while #general argues about something else, and the answers scroll away in minutes.
SupportHQ connects to your server as a bot, answers from your docs in the channels you choose, stays quiet where you tell it to, and turns every thread into a conversation in one inbox where your team can step in.
What Discord communities support teams run into
- Mods answer the same questions daily and burn out.
- Answers in Discord scroll away and get asked again tomorrow.
- A bot that replies to everything becomes noise and gets muted.
- Nobody can see the support load across channels or who is waiting.
Questions the agent answers on its own
From your approved content, in the customer's language, at any hour.
- "How do I link my account?"
- "Where do I download the latest version?"
- "Is the server down?"
- "How do I claim my role?"
- "What is the difference between the free and paid tier?"
- "My key is not working."
- "When is the next release?"
When it hands off to your team
With its own reason, an urgency, and a summary. Your team is notified by email, Telegram, or SMS.
- A user reports an outage or a payment issue: escalate to staff with the channel and message summary.
- A moderation issue or a rules dispute: always a human mod.
- A question about a specific account or purchase: collect details and hand off.
- A question the docs do not cover: the agent says so and pings staff.
What to load into the knowledge base
- Your docs and wiki
- Server rules and FAQ pinned messages
- Release notes and known issues
- Past answers from mods, turned into articles
Channels
Discord (the same agent also works in Telegram and on a website widget). Per-channel rules in plain English: answer in #help and #support, reply in #general only when mentioned, ignore #off-topic.
Setup, in practice
Add the SupportHQ bot to your server. Load your docs and pinned FAQs. Write the channel rules: where to answer, where to stay quiet, when to reply to a mention. Set handoff notifications to the staff Telegram or email. Watch the inbox for the first week and turn good mod answers into articles.
FAQ
Will the bot reply to everything in the server?
No. You write rules per channel in plain English. A common setup is: answer freely in #help, reply in #general only when mentioned or when a message is clearly a product question, never post in #off-topic.
What happens when a mod replies?
The agent goes quiet on that thread the moment a person replies. It does not talk over your team.
Does it work in threads and forum channels?
It works where the bot has permission to read and post. Set channel permissions in Discord and the rules in SupportHQ.
Can it be the same agent as our website widget?
Yes. One project, one knowledge base, one inbox. A user who asks on the site and again in Discord gets the same answer.
